How Scientific Information Is Transformed across Retellings

As science advances, the structures of scientific knowledge become increasingly complex, yet it is unclear whether public communication can faithfully preserve this complexity. Using a serial reproduction paradigm, we test whether complex structures are simplified or distorted over retellings and identify the stability of different relational architectures.
