Abstract

Rapid automatized naming (RAN) predicts learning outcomes. After assessing whether RAN in first-grade children reflects a domain-general or domain-specific factor, we examined how the best-fitting model relates to reading, writing, and math prerequisites. Findings showed that RAN supports performance across all early learning domains.
