Abstract
We evaluated educational values and SES as predictors of somatic symptoms and perceived stress among students across races. There were 155 participants (55.7% female, Mage =21.57) who attended colleges in the southeastern United States. Only parental values predicted outcomes for White Americans whereas household income predicted for students of color.
