Abstract
The child rights environment, as measured by the KidsRights Index (KRI), which evaluates principles of non-discrimination, wellbeing, and child participation, shapes both parenting practices and child behaviors. While abusive parenting predicts children’s aggressive behaviors, the impact of parental abuse on child aggression is smaller in countries with low KRI scores.
