Time-Limited Services Correlates with Successful Competency Attainment Outcomes

We analyzed service hours in 209 juvenile competency cases (166 males, Mage = 14.8 years). Results showed a non-linear trend: youth receiving 16-20 sessions attained competency at higher rates than those with prolonged enrollment. This suggests that short, targeted educational interventions are often more effective for youth than extended programming.
