Abstract
Using an open bibliometric dataset (SciSciNet, ~134M publications), we found that psychology has more publications (~13M vs ~7-9M publications), papers-per-author (1.52 vs 1.22-1.31) and authors-per-paper (3.52 vs 2.15-2.63) than comparable social sciences. 64.77% of authorship credits in psychology are from the West. We extend these analyses to psychology subfields.
