Abstract

We tested whether global shame explains why perceived pornography addiction (PPA) relates to loneliness. Participants (N = 267) completed measures of PPA, global shame, and loneliness. PPA predicted loneliness only through global shame, and the direct effect was not significant when shame was included, indicating full mediation.
