Can I Recognize Your Partial Disgust? Emotion Recognition When Action Units Are Not Fully Available

We present an experimental paradigm to test how obstructing facial landmarks to varying degrees impacts emotion recognition.  We predict faster reaction times and lower error rates with greater availability of emotion-related facial landmarks, and predict that this effect is stronger than for partial availability of other parts of a face.
