The Triangle of Self-Harm: Complex PTSD, Dissociation, and Depression As Predictors of Self-Harm In Response to Traumatic Stress

Abstract
This confirmatory study investigated the predictive effects of Dissociative type of PTSD, Complex PTSD, and depression on self-harm in response to traumatic stress (N = 10312). The findings showed the strong effects of guilt, depersonalization, worthlessness, and emotion dysregulation on self-harm, but minimal effects of depression.
