Abstract
Based on data from 152 children (67 males, mean-age = 10.4 years) beginning psychotherapy, we found that externalizing symptoms were a significantly stronger predictor of parent-reported child difficulty than internalizing symptoms. Considering parents choose to pursue mental health care for their children, children with internalizing symptoms may be underserved.
