Abstract
We investigated moral self-superiority and self-other differences in moral judgments. Across three studies (N = 922), participants viewed themselves as less likely than an acquaintance to commit bad actions but not more likely to perform good ones. This self-other difference (but not others) was amplified by priming moral self-superiority.
