From Confidence to Worry: Leadership Development and Affective Challenges In Budding Student Leaders

Abstract
This examines changes in students’ self-perceived leadership, teamwork, and worries about leadership across a semester-long leadership course. Using pre-, mid-, and post-assessments in conjunction with students’ reflective writings, findings illustrated how formative assessment feedback and relational learning fostered measurable growth in students’ understanding, feelings, and enactment of leadership.
