Relational Mindset Boosts Relational Matches for Both Cross-Mapped and Non-Cross-Mapped Scenes

Eliciting a relational mindset boosted relational matches in a subsequent scene-mapping task for both cross-mapped and non-cross-mapped scenes. Participants also made more object matches in the cross-mapped scenes, suggesting that while the relational mindset facilitated attention within the relational structure, it was insufficient to inhibit featural similarities in demanding conditions.
