Abstract

Using latent growth models, latent profiles, and latent class growth analyses in a three-wave middle-school sample, we examined how failure-related emotions and mindsets individually and jointly shape school burnout. Results showed that increases in each factor predicted greater burnout growth, whereas their combinations predicted distinct developmental trajectories of burnout.
