Abstract

We examined whether trait mind-wandering relates to vigilance, cognitive control, inhibition and distraction in a modified AX-CPT. Mind-wandering was associated with reduced vigilance and proactive control, and with greater external distraction. These findings suggest that mind-wandering is associated with poorer attentional functions.
