How Schema and Emotion Guide Future Event Generation: Eye-Tracking Evidence from Construction and Elaboration

This study aims to clarify process-level mechanisms underlying episodic future thinking. This study examines how schema congruency and emotional valence shape the construction and elaboration of episodic future thinking. Using eye-tracking and narrative analysis, we investigate how early attentional dynamics involved in event construction predict later episodic detail and vividness.
