Abstract
This study examined how friends affect the development and maintenance of patterns of coping with peer victimization in early childhood using dyadic peer-individual interaction modeling. Using observations of victimization responses for 43 friendship dyads, results suggested stability in approach responses over time and a significant positive partner effect for avoidance.
