Social Modeling Moderates the Relationship between External Eating and Caloric Intake
- Christine McBride

Abstract
Despite robust findings that a key external influence on eating behavior is social modeling, (i.e. adjusting food intake to match others), little research has examined external eating in a social context. This exploratory study showed that a model’s behavior may moderate the effect of external eating on hedonic calorie intake.
