Abstract

In a within-subjects pre and post binocular rivalry design, participants underwent monocular deprivation concurrently with three conditions: walking, wheelchair motion, and rest. Compared to the rest condition, both walking and wheelchair motion enhanced monocular deprivation effect to a similar degree, indicating that optic flow—rather than physical exercise—drives this effect.
