Refining the Contrast Avoidance Model: Exploring Individual Differences and Examining the Role of Repetitive Negative Thinking

To refine the contrast avoidance model, we investigated whether individual differences including the Big Five were associated with contrast avoidance tendency, and whether transdiagnostic repetitive negative thinking would mediate the link between contrast avoidance tendency and both anxiety and depression in a sample of Korean adults (N = 352).
