Abstract
In a one-year follow-up of a randomized controlled trial for unguided internet-based CBT, the treatment group maintained initial improvements in depression and anxiety. The control group improved in depression, but not anxiety. Although many individuals improve over time without intervention, unguided self-help may provide faster, sustainable improvement.
