Abstract
In this mixed-methods study, we examined parental perfectionism, parental reflective functioning and parental burnout in 152 Turkish mothers (Mage = 34.45). Perfectionism predicted burnout, partially via prementalizing. IPA analysis revealed emotional strain and relational disconnection. Findings indicate that cognitive-emotional vulnerabilities and mentalization difficulties contribute to parental burnout.
