Abstract

This meta-analysis (35 studies; 117 effects) examined the extent to which reading intervention effects persisted on follow-up tests after interventions ended at post-test. Results indicated partial persistence, with about half of post-test gains still persisting at 5-8 months. Findings highlight the need for continuity of interventions to maintain reading gains.
