Abstract
This study of Turkish older adults (N=616) found that being married alone did not predict health. Instead, romantic loneliness moderated links between marital status and cognitive and mental health: married adults experiencing high romantic loneliness showed worse outcomes, underscoring antecedents of relationship quality’s central role in health.
