Abstract
This study examined how childhood maltreatment (CM) relates to depression, anxiety, and PTSD through Acceptance and Commitment Therapy mechanisms. Results (N=272) showed cognitive fusion predicted change in anxiety, experiential avoidance predicted change in PTSD, and all three mechanisms--including self-compassion--predicted change in depression, informing targeted interventions for adults with CM histories.
