Systematic Review of Parent-Child Attachment Security In Pediatric Physical Chronic Illness

This systematic review of 20 studies examined parent-child attachment security in pediatric chronic illness samples. Although differences between chronically ill and healthy groups were inconsistent, some illness groups showed higher insecure attachment. Insecure attachment was associated with greater psychosocial difficulties in children with chronic illness.
