Abstract

This study examined the relationship between hormonal contraceptives (HCs) and mate preferences. Female university students reported their attraction to various faces and characteristics for a long-term relationship. Results showed lower attraction to these faces among HC users, and an overall preference for masculine and feminine characteristics over neutral characteristics.
