Abstract

Purpose was to assess validity of a new fat free mass (FFM)-based blood alcohol concentration (BAC) prediction equation. The FFM-based alcohol dose produced the targeted peak BAC and significantly smaller prediction errors than prior equations. This FFM-based equation appears to be valid and to produce a better alcohol dose estimate.
