Abstract
We examined bilingualism and PTSD symptoms in 46 English monolingual and English-Spanish bilingual adults. Monolinguals showed higher Cognition/Mood (t=2.40), Hyperarousal (t=2.99), Intrusions (t=1.77), and total PTSD severity (t=2.04), with Wilcoxon tests replicating these effects. A logistic model (χ²=15.39, p=.017) indicated meaningful group differences, though no single predictor independently explained them.
