Perceived Orientability Impacts Internal Domain Generality In Ensemble Perception

Abstract
We examined how ensemble perception for average orientation operates across stimulus categories. When all stimuli in a display were the same, there were no differences in ensemble abilities. When multiple categories were present in a single display, responses were biased in the direction of certain stimulus types (i.e., triangles).
