Abstract

Myths and other false beliefs can have detrimental effects on many facets of life. While there are different factors affecting the acceptance of myths, this research compares the dichotomous thinking and myth accepting attitudes of college students. Results show critical thinking courses reduce the likelihood students will adopt these attitudes.
