Trained but Still Tricked: Source Sensitization Training Fails to Reduce False Memory Reports

We tested whether source sensitization memory training reduces false autobiographical memories using a blind implantation paradigm (N = 294). Training failed to lower false reports; instead, false beliefs and memories increased for all participants between the second and third session. Findings suggest these implanted false memories are resistant to correction.
