Abstract

The present study aims to understand parental stress in urban China, a rapidly changing context. Findings revealed a steady increase in parenting stress from childhood to adolescence. Further, higher parenting stress was positively associated with greater depressive symptoms, which in turn linked with higher parenting stress across time.
