Abstract

This study examines how adult Spanish learners acquire adjective position and how their native language (L1), linguistic experience in Spanish (L2), and proactive control shape their acceptability judgments. Results reveal L1-specific patterns and cognitive-control effects, particularly for prenominal adjectives, highlighting distinct learner profiles in L2 processing.
