Abstract
28 controls and 28 depressed participants generated past or future events. Depressed individuals recalled more negative, less detailed events. EEG revealed group differences: larger FN400 in depressed during recognition, greater LFE in controls during construction, and larger right-frontal LP in depressed during elaboration, reflecting altered familiarity, monitoring, and self-referential processing.
