Abstract

Arousal is an ambiguous term. This study will validate psycholinguistic ratings of affective arousal using measures of physiological arousal. Nmin=64 participants will be recruited to perform lexical/semantic tasks while pupil diameter and galvanic skin response are recorded. If psycholinguistic ratings capture physiological arousal, these measures will correlate, providing validation.
