Abstract
This study evaluated the newly developed Italian Sense of Humor Scale–Parallel Version Short Form (SHS-PSF) in 298 Italians and 910 Canadians. Six-factor and bifactor models showed better fit than the unidimensional model. Item response theory revealed strong discrimination. Metric invariance held, though four items showed differential functioning across languages.
