Academic Stress Increases Igd Risk through Anxiety and Avoidant Coping: A Three-Wave Proposal

Abstract
This proposal outlines a three-wave longitudinal study testing whether academic stress predicts Internet Gaming Disorder risk through anxiety and avoidance-based coping. Using validated measures collected across one semester, the study expects an indirect pathway where increased stress heightens anxiety and coping-motivated gaming, elevating later gaming-related difficulties.
