Adolescent Problematic Short‑Video Use: A Mixed‑Methods Study of Predictors and Lived Experiences

An explanatory sequential mixed-methods study will follow Hong Kong adolescents (N≈500) across two survey waves (6‑month interval) to identify individual and contextual predictors of problematic short‑video use and gender differences. Follow‑up timeline-based interviews (≈20 participants) will explore adolescents' lived experiences to explain quantitative patterns and inform multi‑level interventions.
