Does Colored Hair Disrupt Face Perception?

We examined how colored hair affects face perception. Two experiments showed that colored hair impairs the identification of briefly presented faces, but not attractiveness judgments. These findings indicate different time courses for identification and attractiveness processing, as well as a different role of attention in these judgments.
