Abstract
Are AI authors or human authors better at influencing human attitudes, behavioral intentions, and social media sharing when given the same prompt? AI surpassed humans on all measures, though the effect was smaller for attitude and behavior change, indicating that message quality isn’t an effective measure of persuasion.
