The Role of Parent and Peer Relationships on Emotion Regulation In Preschool and Kindergarten

Abstract
The study tested the role of parent and peer relationships in the development of emotion regulation in preschool and kindergarten. Confirmatory Factor Analysis was used to create supportive parenting and peer factors for children at preschool fall (N = 319). Supportive peer relationships predicted increased emotion regulation at preschool spring.
