Abstract
This study examined the role of mindfulness and perfectionism in the experience of regret. Forty-two participants completed either a mindfulness or control exercise before reacting to a regret-eliciting scenario. Mindfulness reduced regret for individuals high in perfectionism, suggesting mindfulness may benefit people with stronger self-critical tendencies.
