Cognitive Reappraisal Is Associated with Higher Perceived Academic Stress Among College Undergraduates

Cognitive reappraisal, being a senior, and majoring in the humanities were associated with higher levels of perceived academic stress in 103 college undergraduates. Findings highlight variation in stress across student groups and underscore the need for more research on how a student's academic context shapes their stressors and coping responses.
