Abstract

Research comparing allosexual individuals and individuals on the asexual spectrum found that asexual individuals displayed a lower desire for appetitive sexual behaviors reflective of dopamine-related anticipatory arousal and desire, greater sensory processing sensitivity, and greater sex negativity.
