Are Gen Zs Ready for the Workplace? Assessment of Hiring Managers' and Gen Zs' Perceptions of Qualifications

Abstract
We compared Gen Z’s (n=628) and hiring manager’s (n=38) beliefs on various attributes. Gen Z’s beliefs about hiring manager’s negative beliefs of them were lower than hiring managers actual beliefs (t(664) = 3.57, p<.001). This effect was moderated by Gen Z conscientiousness. Other findings are also discussed.
