The Association between Program-Level Bias and Equitable Teaching Practices

Abstract
This pilot study validated the ACSES–Bias Teacher Survey across six bias subscales using data from 136 preschool educators. Item response theory and logistic regressions assessed endorsement patterns. Video-coded equitable teaching practices showed that lower bias endorsements corresponded with more equitable behaviors, supporting the survey’s utility for linking bias to practice.
