The Nature-Attuned Mindset: A Dual-Process Mechanism of Affinity and Inspiration for Deriving Mental Health Benefits from Nature

Using network mining with natural language processing (41,968 text chunks), interviews (N=16), and scale validation (N=571), we proposed and operationalized the Nature-Attuned Mindset. Results confirmed a dual process of affinity and inspiration. This construct advances theoretical understanding of how nature benefits mental health and offers precise targets for nature-based interventions.
