Abstract
Compared to disagreeable victims, agreeable victims are more accepting of offenders’ apologies when offenders commit negligence, in which victims’ interpretation of the severity of wrongdoing differs, but not accidental or intentional acts. However, highly neurotic victims, locked in negative emotions, are less accepting and forgiving than less neurotic victims.
