Abstract

This study examined the intergenerational transmission of autobiographical memories. Adults aged 45+ with children older than 18 responded to an online survey. Most memories were shared with both children and others. The primary function of transmission was social sharing. No effects emerged supporting increased sharing for the reminiscence bump.
